Do you need special specifications? We provide all kinds of technical plastics

At Ferplast we can provide you with other technical and engineering materials with special technical characteristics. These are improved polymers through the use of modifiers, additives, fillers and reinforcements . These offer particularities such as greater resistance to heat, a high resistance to impact, greater rigidity, non-adhesion, etc. There are up to 1,500 types of plastics with these characteristics and we can provide you with any of them. We know your benefits and we can help you know and choose the one that best suits you.

Nylon

Nylon is a plastic material that, due to its manufacturing process, offers great firmness. It is also highly resistant to shock and fatigue, and has good resistance to wear and temperature changes. It stands out for its elasticity, which allows the absorption of vibrations or impacts with a high level of softening, as well as for its optimal behavior against atmospheric agents. This material is available in multiple formats, mainly sheets, bars, threads, or laminate.

Some uses of nylon:

  • Engineering parts like bearings and gears.
  •  Auto parts
  • Machinery.
  • Guitar strings.
  • Fishing lines
  • Cutting boards for food
  • Zippers
  • Fan blades
  • Screws
  • Sutures (surgery)
  • Handles for tools.
  • Profiles for awnings
  • Rods/Spokes

Teflon

Teflon

Teflon is the trademark for a family of plastic polymers with excellent non-stick properties and benefits such as easy cleaning, repellency, and durability. These materials are able to withstand temperatures of up to 300º C for long periods without hardly undergoing modifications, being insoluble to most acids and bases and to many organic solvents. Currently it is a very common material in the daily life of any person, especially in the kitchen and plumbing.

Some uses of Teflon:

  • Coating of kitchen utensils
  • Water repellent and breathable fabrics
  • Wheel bearings for vehicles.
  • Sealing of containers.
  • Electrical insulation in cables and electronic circuits.
  • Inert coating in transport systems for chemical products and laboratory vessels.

Celotex

Celotex is a laminate made of extra-fine and super-extra-fine  cotton mesh fabric impregnated with phenolic resin. It is characterized by its great mechanical resistance and easy machining, being resistant to a wide variety of chemical agents. It also offers minimum wear due to friction and good electrical insulation.

Some uses of celotex:

  • Bearing manufacturing
  • Rollers for industry.
  • Gears.
  • Pieces for mechanical wear.
  • Insulating and mechanical parts.

Delrin natural

Delrin

Delrin is a semicrystalline thermoplastic of great hardness and strength, suitable for food use, and characterized by its low coefficient of friction and its good resistance to wear. Its behavior is similar to steel with great mechanical properties, with good resistance to different chemical products and virtually no water absorption. It is widely used in situations where nylon is problematic due to its tensions.

Some uses of Delrin:

  • Bearings
  • Sprockets.
  • Industrial components.
  • Machining of fragile pieces
